Our Sensory Farm

Service Description

How would your learner like to be a Farmer for a Day at Our Sensory Farm? During this tutoring session, we will meet our new ducklings and chicks! Learners will have the opportunity to directly interact with our newest feathered friends while developing a greater sense of how to care for young animals. Next, we will work together to create individualized salads and snacks for the chickens, goats, and Mr. Piggy. We will discuss some of the challenges we face at our farm in the spring such as weather, rain, and erosion, and brainstorm ways to help. The goats will certainly want some hay and we will need to collect our farm fresh eggs! We get to enjoy a short book read aloud during Story Time as we gather for lunch. Learners will have a chance to participate in a casual discussion in which we will share ideas, answer questions, and make connections related to the story. Learners will also be given an opportunity at the end of our session to reflect, record, note, doodle, remember, and share as we create entries in Farmventure Journals. This tutoring session is appropriate for We Play Learners ages 5 and up with all abilities. Activities, instruction, and level of support will be differentiated to meet the needs of individual learners.
