Our Sensory Farm was the long time dream of our family.
With the generous support of our community, we've seen our dream come to fruition!
Shannon, the woman behind the big ideas, is a special education teacher, nature lover, and believer in dreaming big! She is the founder and President of Our Sensory Farm.
David is a cartographer and drone pilot for a local private firm when he isn't acting as the resident handyman. Nathan (14) and Marcus (15) are dedicated caretakers of their beloved sensory farm and homestead.
Every day is a new adventure at Our Sensory Farm and it truly is a place to grow.
We are incredibly grateful for all the love and support we have received.

Hello, farm friend! I'm Shannon and this is my adventurous family! We founded Our Sensory Farm with one goal:

Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of others with all abilities by creating a mini working farm and adventure forest that promote inclusive outdoor experiences in an accepting and supportive environment.

As a special needs mom and former teacher, I know how hard it can be for some families to relax and feel accepted while enjoying themselves in a public setting. Our Sensory Farm offers a fun, comfortable and supportive environment in which our guests are encouraged to be their true selves. We are more than happy to accommodate the special needs of all our guests to create a farmventure experience you won’t forget!
