How To Register Your Family
Use one shared family profile for your Adventure Seekers Club membership. This keeps registration simple while giving trusted adults enough information to suggest activities that fit your family. You do not need to create a separate online account for each child.
Add your family and adventurer names
Start with the name of the parent, caregiver, or other adult who manages the membership. Then add the first names or preferred names of the children and other adventurers who may participate.
A shared profile can include siblings, cousins, friends, or any family members who regularly join your adventures. Keep it practical: list the people who are likely to use the activities together.
Helpful details to include
The family name or the adult account holder’s name.
Each adventurer’s preferred name and approximate age or age range.
Pronouns, communication preferences, or other information you would like trusted adults to know.
Whether an adventurer may participate independently, with adult help, or alongside a sibling or peer.
There is no need to make individual child accounts. One family profile can represent many different learners and still leave room for each child to choose activities that interest them.
Describe interests and favorite ways to explore
Adventure Seekers activities can be approached through five pathways: Artist, Author, Explorer, Inventor, and Naturalist. Interests help adults point your family toward inviting starting places, but they do not limit what anyone can try.
Interest or strength | Useful profile note |
Making and drawing | Enjoys art, maps, photographs, or building models. |
Stories and language | Likes reading, dictating stories, discussing ideas, or asking questions. |
Outdoor observation | Interested in animals, plants, weather, trails, or collecting nature clues. |
Design and problem-solving | Enjoys creating, testing ideas, building, or figuring out how things work. |
Hands-on sensory exploration | Prefers touching, moving, listening, or using real objects while learning. |
You might write, “Kai loves birds and drawing,” “Riley prefers building activities and short outdoor walks,” or “Both children enjoy animal facts but need choices about messy materials.” A few specific notes are more useful than a long biography.
Interests can change. Update the profile whenever your family discovers a new favorite way to adventure.
Share access and participation needs
Adventure Seekers Club welcomes children ages 5 and beyond with all abilities. Children may watch before joining, use different tools or materials, take breaks, communicate without speaking, complete one part of an activity, or create their own approach. These are meaningful ways to participate.
Use the profile to share details that would help activities feel comfortable, accessible, and enjoyable. Only include information you are comfortable sharing, and focus on practical support rather than labels alone.
Consider noting
Preferred communication methods, such as speaking, gestures, sign language, drawing, writing, pointing, or AAC.
Sensory preferences or sensitivities, including noise, textures, crowded places, or a need for movement and quiet breaks.
Mobility, vision, hearing, or fine-motor considerations that may affect materials, locations, or directions.
Supports that already work well, such as visual schedules, first-then language, demonstrations, extra processing time, or choices between two options.
Outdoor planning needs, such as accessible paths, short distances, shade, seating, predictable routines, or an adult nearby.
For example, a profile note could say: “Morgan benefits from visual directions and extra time to respond. Nature observations from a stationary spot work well.” Another family might write: “Avery likes to look first, prefers gloves for wet or textured materials, and may take sensory breaks.”
Include practical activity notes
The most useful registration details help a trusted adult understand what makes participation possible and meaningful for your family. Think about the moments when an activity usually goes well: What helped? What should be avoided? What choices are welcome?
Instead of only writing... | Try adding a practical detail |
“Needs accommodations” | “Does best with a picture schedule, a short activity, and a quiet break option.” |
“Has mobility needs” | “Prefers accessible, level paths and can explore with binoculars from one location.” |
“Does not like crafts” | “Prefers building, photographing, or dictating ideas instead of cutting and gluing.” |
“Loves animals” | “Especially interested in insects, pets, and noticing animal tracks outdoors.” |
You do not need to predict every need or explain every part of your family’s life. A profile is simply a starting point. Activities can always be adapted, simplified, expanded, paused, or approached in a completely different way.
Complete your shared profile
Before saving, check that your profile answers these questions:
Who will adventure with this family account?
What topics, materials, or pathways are likely to catch each adventurer’s interest?
What access needs, preferences, or supports would help adults suggest suitable options?
Are there practical details that make outdoor exploration safer or more comfortable for your family?
Is the information current, respectful, and limited to what you want to share?
Your family profile does not need to be perfect or complete. Add the details that will help your family choose meaningful adventures now, then revise them as your children’s interests, strengths, and needs change.
