3-Day Farmventure Camp (Ages 3-10)

3-DAY FARMVENTURE CAMP 

9 Hour Experience (10 am to 1 pm Each Day)

Up to 10 campers per group

Farmventure Camp is an inclusive, outdoor half-day program located at Our Sensory Farm in southern Chesapeake. Campers of all abilities are encouraged to join us and explore our unique 3 acre mini working farm and adventure forest. With a variety of hands-on activities, interactive experiences, sensory stations, art projects and farm animals, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Our goal is to create a supportive and accepting space in which our guests feel safe being their true selves while connecting with nature, neighbors and themselves.

Our 3-Day Farmvenutre Camp option is designed for individual learners, small homeschool groups and families who want to explore all that Our Sensory Farm has to offer.

During Day 1, our Farmventure Campers will:

• Take a farm tour and discuss rules and safety
• Receive a handmade OSF Journal (take-home)
• Design a friendship bracelet (take-home project)
• Discover the Adventure Forest swings and campsite
• Hike the extended nature path during our Sensory Scavenger Hunt
• Prepare special snacks for the goats, pig, chickens and tortoises
• Brush the goats during their spa time
• Learn about animal care, composting and life on the farm
• Give the tortoises a bath
• Go on a rainbow egg hunt with the chickens

During Day 2, our Farmventure Campers will:

• Receive an OSF Custom Art Kit (take-home)
• Create a Kindness Quilt (group project)
• Make a beaded suncatcher (take-home project)
• Design a feather paintbrush
• Play Ladybug Lookout and Color Detective
• Paint happy rocks
• Work together on a custom farm mural
• Examine more sensory stations
• Enjoy lunch with new friends (not provided)

During Day 3, our Farmventure Campers will:

• Construct a Farm Lantern (take-home project)
• Play putt putt, corn hole, frisbee golf, giant chess or board games
• Take a goat for a walk on the nature path
• Listen to a story with Piggy
• Complete the camping tent challenge
• Cook up a mess in the mud kitchen
• Join our Bonfire Bingo game
• Participate in the Circle of Gratitude
• Examine even more sensory stations
• Have a bubble dance party
• Enjoy lunch with new friends (not provided)
